It's been almost a week since Halloween. Be honest. Is there any candy left in your house? Mine is all gone, eaten quickly, as to respect my lack of self-control when there is any amount of candy in the house. It's not an easy thing to control yourself around. A Reese's Pumpkin is like a siren song. If you're a parent, you have the luck of having a professional candy eater in your midst. You may not want them to immediately house all of those Butterfingers, but they do. 

And hey, it's their one time of year when they get to do that, so let them have it. Remember how fun it was to come home after trick-or-treating when you were a kid? You would give all the Almond Joys to your mom. Now you are the mom, and you're happy to be receiving the Almond Joys. Who doesn't feel like a nut sometimes? But secretly you're grateful that Halloween is over and you can go back to your normal life. Except now it's dark almost as soon as your day starts.
